[Massplanners] Subdivision Approvals

Hi Bill,

I feel your pain... We've been without a Planner for way too long ourselves.

As the longest of the elected members of the Board, and the Chair, I
would tell the applicant that they need to request a Determination of
the Board regarding the proposed changes.

Essentially, they need to ask,  "Are the changes Significant or
Insignificant"?

If the Board Determines the changes to be significant, then the
applicant would need to apply for a formal Modification of the original
Subdivision Approval. (Notice to abutters... notice in the paper.. etc. )

Insignificant changes can be made by the board at any meeting without a
formal hearing.

Most folks would see additional structures and road modifications (with
the associated stormwater changes) as Significant. Your mileage may vary....

Best of Luck,

H. LaCortiglia
