[Massplanners] Special permit - certificate of compliance?

Hi planners-

Is there any such thing as a "certificate of compliance", or similar
document, to indicate that either the conditions associated with a recorded
special permit (or an analogous Town bylaw-based permit) have been
satisfied, or that the original permit has been rescinded?

I know that when a Conservation Commission issues an Order of Conditions for
work on a property, it clouds the title on the property, and when the
conditions have been satisfied a Certificate of Compliance is issued to
clear the title. Is there a similar process needed for Planning Board
permits?

Thanks,

Mark Kresge
