Subject: Announcing: Registration for EOHLC ADU Office Hours

Dear MassPlanners,

EOHLC is pleased to announce the start of ADU office hours, beginning this June, to support municipal planners in understanding Massachusetts' new Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) law and regulations, which became fully effective as of February 2nd, 2025. Under the Affordable Homes Act, the ADU law protects ADUs up to 900 square feet by-right in single-family zoning districts across the Commonwealth-providing communities with a key resource to address housing needs. Beginning June 11th 3:00pm to 4:30pm, and every second Wednesday of the following months, these sessions will provide an opportunity for planners to engage with EOHLC and ask questions about the new law and regulations. We will also host an extra June session on June 25th 3:00pm to 4:30pm. Please note - ADU office hours are intended for municipal planners, volunteer planning board members, consultants, and RPA staff - they are not intended for the general public.
