3rd Annual Massachusetts Distinguished Planner Lecture
Thursday, March 13 at 4 pm
102 Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering (ISEC) Building at Northeastern University
Please join us! This event is being jointly hosted by APA-MA and the Massachusetts Planning Schools (BU, Harvard, MIT, Northeastern, UMass/Boston, UMass/Amherst, and Tufts).
The Massachusetts Distinguished Planner Lecture <https://sites.tufts.edu/plannerlecture/> was initiated in 2023 as a collaboration between APA-MA and the Massachusetts Planning Schools to provide a forum for a distinguished planner nearing the end of their career to share their reflections on their experiences and the profession with the broader planning community, and particularly with planning students. All Massachusetts planners and planning students are invited to attend the Lecture, during which the speaker will deliver remarks that offer words-of-wisdom for emerging practitioners and reflections that even the most accomplished among us will be able to appreciate.
Our distinguished lecturer this year is Gail Latimore, Executive Director of the Codman Square Neighborhood Development Corporation. Gail has been a major figure on Boston neighborhood development for more than 25 years, having served as a founding board member of the Dudley Street Neighborhood (DSNI), as a board member of the Massachusetts Association of Community Development Corporations, and in many other leadership positions.
