[Massplanners] SHI Unit Annual Letters

Hi Sam:


Technically there is a monitoring agent assigned to each affordable HO unit
(whether included in a 40B project or an LAU unit) on the SHI, and it is
their responsibility to send out the annual letters to each homeowner. In
some cases this may be the municipality, but not typically.

If the Town is a member of a Regional Housing Services type entity, that is
who would do this, or could tell you who is responsible

If not, the best way to find out who is responsible for doing this is to
contact the subsidizing agency *for that specific project *and ask them.

-For LAU projects and LIP 40B projects that would be EOHLC

-For HO projects included in 40Bs for which MassHousing is the Subsidizing
Agency that would be MassHousing

-There are also a batch of older 40B HO projects for which CHAPA is the
monitoring agent.

MHP only acts as the Subsidizing Agency for rental projects.
