[Massplanners] Town of Hudson- Update of Existing ADU By-law

Hello Planning Friends and Colleagues,

Folks have been reaching out to me based on some comments directed to some MetroWest colleagues a couple of weeks ago regarding an update to Hudson's existing ADU By-law.  Indeed I am bringing forward an update to our existing ADU By-law to the November Town Meeting. The Article is in draft form and will be until the Select Board signs the Warrant on Monday, September 23, 2024, which will be posted forthwith on the front page of the Town's website. You will be able to find the update in the Town Meeting Warrant once signed.

If folks would like to further understand my approach to updating our existing By-law (which was adopted in 2007) to comply with the amendments to MGL Chapter 40A in the Affordable Homes Act, feel free to contact me.  For my fellow municipal practitioners, it does goes without saying to underscore the importance of working with your municipal counsel and your Planning Boards in creating a new ADU By-law, or updating your existing ADU By-law.
