Attached is the MMLA letter to the legislative committee regarding the above
proposed bill.  Please take a quick read of the letter and if you agree with
the problems with the legislation please make a quick call to your
legislators to ask them to get the bill amended before adoption.  Also
please send on to anyone else you think may be a stake holder.

 

It is my opinion that the bill will just make the site plan approval and
special permit process more complex with unnecessary process for volunteers
municipal boards in small towns.  A quick fix to have it track with the
special permit process would make a huge difference.
