[Massplanners] Municipal Boundary Split Properties

Good morning planners,

Are there any municipalities that coordinate/collaborate permitting with their neighbors when a parcel crosses municipal boundaries and faces permitting in both? The City of Somerville is undertaking a zoning study of the parcels that are split by the boundary between Somerville and Medford, and it would be helpful to know how other municipalities handle the same issue or whether they have undergone a similar study.
Any input would be appreciated!
