APA-MA invites members to a DO NOT MISS two hour walking tour of the Enterprise Research Campus<https://seas.harvard.edu/about-us/visit-us/allston/enterprise-research-campus> (ERC) led by Alexandra Toteva, Managing Director Planning and Design Implementation for the Harvard Allston Land Company<https://halc.harvard.edu>.
We will meet at the Harvard Science and Engineering Complex (SEC) 150 Western Avenue, Allston, MA 02134 (near the intersection of Western Ave. and Stadium Road).
This event is approved for two AICP CE Credits!
The ERC is a Harvard University-owned parcel in Allston Landing North. This property will becoming a non-institutional center for innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurship within the City of Boston and the region. The University will be transforming a previously industrial rail yard into a green, pedestrian-friendly area in Allston for business and research.
The first phase of the project is a 14-acre master plan which includes new infrastructure, streets, and open space to support an initial 900,000 square foot mixed-use development of office and lab space, residential units, a hotel and conference center and green space.
Because of its proximity to Harvard Business School and Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS), as well as peer universities, healthcare leaders, and Boston's science and technology sector, the new development area has the potential to become a hub for anchor companies, incubators, startups, and social enterprises.
