[Massplanners] Announcement: MA Downtown Initiative is on the move!

The MA Downtown Initiative (MDI) program, which had been historically located at DHCD (now Executive Office of Housing & Livable Communities/ELHC), has moved and is now part of the Executive Office of Economic Development (EOED).


EOED is comprised of three pillars of economic development. The MDI Program will fall under the Economic Foundations pillar, headed up by Undersecretary Ashley Stolba and managed by Assistant Secretary Juan Vega.


The MDI program is part of the Community One Stop for Growth and is comprised of funding for technical assistance grants for all aspects of downtown/town center sustainability, as well as support in the form of webinars, site visits, and phone consultations.
