I have been living these questions for the last couple months, and am
involved with the Zero Carbon folks who have produced an incredible
amount of information to address your questions.
1. Depends on your town, but the Ipswich Selectboard did not place it on
the warrant (yet) as they wanted some questions answered regarding costs
to builders/residents, who else has adopted, and what are the conditions
under which solar is required? I have drafted these and we will likely
move to the next stage next week.
2. Nineteen communities have adopted, only 4 of which have already gone
into effect - Cambridge, Somerville, Watertown, and Brookline. Twenty
more are currently considering adoption. If successful, these
communities will equal about 24% of the MA population (yes, Boston has
adopted it)
3. Call me for more detail. 978-356-9881.
Best wishes on this....
