The Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities is hiring an additional Regional Planner to support MBTA Communities implementation. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver on the Commonwealth's goals of adopting multifamily zoning districts with access to transit. Regional Planner II - Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities

OVERVIEW OF ROLE:
As the Regional Planner, you play an integral role in the implementation and compliance efforts of M.G.L. c. 40A Section 3A, the MBTA Communities law, as part of the 3A Team. You will bring fundamental knowledge of the principles of zoning and housing to add to a team of dedicated and caring housing professionals working to help 177 communities meet their MBTA Communities zoning goals. In this role, you will directly assist the MBTA Communities Compliance Coordinator and collaborate with other regional planning staff at EOHLC to coordinate and track MBTA Communities compliance activities including technical assistance and training to municipal officials, housing advocates, the development community, and other constituents on housing, land use planning, and zoning issues.

MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:  Applicants must have at least (A) three years of full-time, or equivalent part-time technical or professional experience in urban or regional planning, environmental planning, transportation planning or land use planning, and (B) of which at least one year must have been in a professional capacity or (C) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
