Hi All!

Unsurprisingly, MAPC is also watching this with great interest. Our Government Affairs team is also working with folks at the Statehouse to get a permanent solution identified.

Hopefully this isn’t coming too late, but if you have the chance I strongly encourage you to contact legislators to ask them to act on/support SD.1247<https://malegislature.gov/Bills/193/SD1247>/HD.911<https://malegislature.gov/Bills/193/HD911>. You can do that easily with this template that our Communications and Government Affairs teams developed: mapc.ma/RemoteMeetings<https://mapc.ma/RemoteMeetings>

You can find this template, as well as many other types of hybrid and virtual meeting resources and tools, on our Hybrid Engagement Hub: https://www.mapc.org/resource-library/hybrid-engagement/

As of this morning I can't find anything to show the Senate acted and got the Supplemental budget to the Governor. The budget funds SNAP and other programs thar expired at midnight. So in limbo until they act. Which hopefully will be today.

Another "retiree" up late, according to Rep Chris Flanagan it is extended to March 31, 2025 in the Supplemental Budget. House passed today.

Good morning Massplanners,
I am hoping someone can update me on whether the option for remote meetings has been extended, or is expiring March 31. We're about to advertise a public hearing on zoning articles in early April. All the Planning Board meetings have been strictly on Zoom this year and last. I think I know the answer, but remote has been super useful for this board.

Also, if anyone has the name of the contact for notices of zoning changes at DHCD, that would be greatly appreciated.

And hey, soon to be Happy Friday!
Laura
