The Town of Essex is looking to hire a Part-Time Town Planner:

Working under the general direction of the Town Administrator, and reporting to the Board of Selectmen, the position involves broad planning and grant writing support for several Town boards and committees, including the Board of Selectmen, Affordable Housing Trust, Economic Development Committee, and Planning Board, as well as grant-based special projects.



This is a part-time position with up to 15 hours per week and carries no benefits. A flexible mix of in-person and remote hours is possible. Starting hourly wage $33.79 - $48.27, commensurate with experience. Bachelor’s degree in planning or related field with 3 years' work experience in the municipal or urban planning field required; Master's degree in planning or related field preferred.
