*JOB OPPORTUNITY: PLANNER/COMMUNITY DESIGNER, ENTRY, MID, OR SENIOR LEVEL*

Dodson & Flinker’s growing planning practice has an opening for a new team
member. We use a design-based approach to help our municipal clients answer
questions like, how to plan for housing that is attainable, sustainable and
makes neighborhoods better places to live; how to prepare developed areas
for sea level rise; and how to build community consensus and momentum
toward shared goals. Much of our work involves physical planning and
helping communities visualize change.

We are open to people with various levels of experience who can make an
immediate contribution to our planning projects. At any level, a successful
candidate will have an ability to research effectively, write
professionally, illustrate beautifully, communicate clearly, listen
actively, and think critically. Entry-level candidates should understand
planning and/or urban design principles and methodologies, have a graduate
degree or equivalent experience in planning, landscape architecture,
architecture, or ecological design, and be fluent in ArcGIS Pro, Sketchup,
InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office. Mid- and
senior-level candidates will also have experience managing projects and
knowledge of urban design, housing, zoning, open space and environmental
planning, climate resilience, economic development, or other topics.
Experience with public engagement using social media and innovative tools
is a plus at any level.

possible within the budget available.
