Participants will be guided in understanding implicit biases and presented with tools to take action on eliminating barriers to full participation in society and equal justice.

Benefits of the workshop:

  *   APA now requires AICP planners to earn Equity credits. The National APA has approved this workshop for Equity credit.
  *   Attending the workshop will help you apply a heightened awareness of DEI issues to your planning work. Completing the two-part workshop will allow you to add this as a micro-credential to your resume.
  *   DEI training is not a one-time session. It is a process that requires multiple touch points, where skills are acquired through repetition.
  *   More and more RFPs are requiring team members to have DEI training. At the conclusion of the workshop, you will receive a certificate of completion from the YWCA.
