Our Planning Board had the same discussion for a bit but landed on the determination that who are they to question something that is reviewed by the Police Chief. We only require that the security plan is approved and filed with the PD.

Paul,
There's a lot more experience in the West (more favorable climate). Many years ago I stayed at a fabulous waterfront platform tent facility at Molokai'i Ranch, now closed.

Hi all,
The Town of Chatham is considering establishing a Tear Down Fee on permitting that involves the demolition of units when they are replaced with much larger homes. The monies acquired through this fee could either be allocated for housing purposes or historic preservation purposes. If any other Towns have established such a fee, I am hoping that you could share any information that you have with me.
Thanks!

All,
Happy new year.
Our Planning Board will, in the near future, be conducting site plan review of a marijuana establishment (member of craft cooperative). The establishment's security plan will be reviewed by the Police and Fire Chiefs as required by Bylaw. The Planning Board has asked whether they will be permitted to see features of the security plan that relate to typical site plan review topics - for example, heights and materials of fences; location of lights. I offered to throw it out to the hive to see what experiences other planners have had with this subject.
Thanks,
Barbara Carboni
