Webinar: Fostering Equity in the Practice of Travel Demand Management
Date: Thursday, September 30
Time: 4-5PM EST

Join the Boston Region Metropolitan Planning Organization and the Metropolitan Area Planning Council for the second virtual forum of the year on travel demand management (TDM). TDM is designed to reduce drive-alone trips and shift people to walking, biking, and taking transit. A panel of expert commentators will tackle difficult issues, such as whether TDM is too focused on white-collar commuters; how to think about TDM beyond the 9-5 commute; how to balance technical and social goals; and how regional planning agencies can help foster robust, equitable TDM policies.

Panelists:
Stephanie Groll, Parking and Transportation Demand Management Planning Officer, City of Cambridge, MA

Alaa Mukahhal, Planner, New Mobility, Boston Transportation Department, City of Boston, MA

Tien-Tien Chan, Technical Program Manager, MBTA

Dana Rubin, Senior Associate, Nelson/Nygaard

Renee Moore, Transit Specialist, City of Alexandria, VA

Register today to join us for this informal yet informative session! Zoom event invite<https://mailchi.mp/ctps/tdm-forum-2?e=2082f75db7>

Following the forum, registrants will receive a packet of resources about equity in TDM compiled by our speakers and MPO and MAPC staff.
