Hello planners, I am conducting some research on Affordable Housing Trusts in Massachusetts for the Berkshire Regional Planning Commission. I've reviewed the MHP guidebook on AHTs and visited municipal AHT webpages across the state. As it appears that many municipal planners are administering their local Trust, I’m going to ask a few questions here.

For those communities with an Affordable Housing Trust, does your Trust receive funds from sources other than the Community Preservation Act?

What do you feel are the biggest accomplishments of the Trust in your community?

What would you have done differently if starting a Trust in your community today?
