[Massplanners] Legal ads can be online or must be in hard copy newspaper?

Dear MassPlanners,

Here in Pembroke, our local newspaper the Pembroke Mariner-Express is ending the publication of physical "hard copy" issues and going entirely online. Legal ads will still appear in the newspaper, but they'll only be accessible online. This raises concerns in my mind (and others at town hall) as to whether such legal ads, appearing only online, would fulfill the state law mandating that legal ads for public hearings be published in local newspapers.

Has anyone else in MassPlanners been in this situation? Can anyone give me advice about how the state law is interpreted?

Thanks!
