[Massplanners] Renting of rooms

Hello Planners, our bylaw contains a provision that allows, as a by-right accessory use:

"The renting of rooms or the furnishing of table board by a resident family to not more than three roomers or boarders is permitted, provided that no separate cooking facilities are maintained."

A colleague told me that right is also enshrined in the General Laws.  If so, could you point me to that GL section?
