Fall Workshops are held at Regional Planning Agencies (RPAs) during October, November and early December. The workshops are designed for both new and experienced board members and many count toward a CPTC Certificate, MIIA insurance credit or AICP credit.
The Fall Workshops focus on core subjects like subdivision control, special permits and roles & responsibilities. They are generally held in the evening. You can attend any of the workshops regardless of the RPA where they are held. If you would like your RPA to hold a specific Fall Workshop, let them know. We begin setting the workshops up in August.
Many Fall Workshops count toward a CPTC Certificate. A CPTC Certficate demonstrates your commitment to your community. Some Workshops also give your municipality a discount on MIIA insurance. CPTC Workshops reduce the likelyhood of litigation and improve your board's decision making process.
