<div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr">Hi Erin,<div><br></div><div>Not sure if you're looking for local examples or national but... <a href="https://groundplaysf.org/wp-content/uploads/San-Francisco-Parklet-Manual.pdf">Groundplay San Francisco</a> put together a really thorough guide (mostly parklet focused) in 2020 that has a lot of great examples and materials lists. <a href="https://www.diningoutnyc.info/rules">New York City DOT</a> also has pretty detailed standards, materials lists and examples here. <a href="https://denvergov.org/files/assets/public/v/2/community-planning-and-development/documents/zoning/text-amendments/outdoor-places-program/outdoor_places_program_requirements.pdf">Denver </a>also has had a robust outdoor dining program dating back to pre-pandemic days and has built up a pretty robust guide for small businesses. Locally, I know the Shared Streets and Spaces program, through MassDot and consultants, had been maintaining a materials guide in 2020, 2021, 2022. I haven't been involved with that program recently so I'm not sure where that program stands or those documents live but may be able to reach out to folks there to see if there's an updated local version. </div><div><br></div><div>Hope that's helpful!</div><div>Jonathan</div><div><br></div></div><div><br clear="all"></div><div><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_signature" data-smartmail="gmail_signature"><div dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt"><span style="background-color:transparent;font-size:11pt;font-family:Roboto,sans-serif;color:rgb(0,0,0);font-weight:700;vertical-align:baseline">Jonathan Berk </span><span style="background-color:transparent;font-size:11pt;font-family:Roboto,sans-serif;color:rgb(102,102,102);vertical-align:baseline">|</span><span style="background-color:transparent;font-size:11pt;font-family:Roboto,sans-serif;color:rgb(27,64,70);font-weight:700;vertical-align:baseline"> </span><span style="background-color:transparent;font-size:10pt;font-family:Roboto,sans-serif;color:rgb(102,102,102);vertical-align:baseline">Founder | re:Main</span><br></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.4625;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt"><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Roboto,sans-serif;color:rgb(0,0,0);background-color:transparent;vertical-align:baseline"><span style="border:none;display:inline-block;overflow:hidden;width:10px;height:10px"><img src="https://lh7-us.googleusercontent.com/lMir_-ML1H6p2zSx7J1Gvc5NW-oo57Zq7DKLpjRicQeLoc9btw6FOw3-nvjshwgebmiLNfQDiVbGIyDQN_vabpJvkx_3GhfyudeYvfgHHze7VfuvKnpWEYx70mPhWhLR_cVVwIt_wpAEn-FX1lF_4G8" width="10" height="10" style="margin-left:0px;margin-top:0px"></span></span><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Roboto,sans-serif;color:rgb(0,0,0);background-color:transparent;vertical-align:baseline"> </span><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Roboto,sans-serif;color:rgb(102,102,102);background-color:transparent;vertical-align:baseline"><a href="mailto:jonathan@remainplaces.com" style="color:rgb(17,85,204)" target="_blank">jonathan@remainplaces.com</a></span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.4625;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt"><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Roboto,sans-serif;color:rgb(0,0,0);background-color:transparent;vertical-align:baseline"><span style="border:none;display:inline-block;overflow:hidden;width:10px;height:10px"><img src="https://lh7-us.googleusercontent.com/x3c9PxsqR1B5uCvl2D9WTRgjpG0Mg6OPHSNrF1QrawZLIeWY76zS_ke9ymdASRz73tgawdmBVZDpE4wUXpzH0ouuTFT7cyzBBgmjY02U9lPAxp5-O5uyvZFU4f7AqfXVcUnygGLyiK5r8kLBVJa6uTw" width="10" height="10" style="margin-left:0px;margin-top:0px"></span></span><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Roboto,sans-serif;color:rgb(102,102,102);background-color:transparent;vertical-align:baseline"> 617-750-6008</span></p><span style="background-color:transparent;font-size:8pt;font-family:Roboto,sans-serif;color:rgb(0,0,0);vertical-align:baseline"><span style="border:none;display:inline-block;overflow:hidden;width:10px;height:10px"><img src="https://lh7-us.googleusercontent.com/ZkWlx9PtJXeQezM2sSLDgBChmi4rUwBWCVD6hLZoon2daTN4qEcMk9yXLBicCrlC7cg2MQIq8kl6Fe2l_IFUppIXqhQsKqipgHOP28rOIqK-RmrLgFnsNa70CHCzzxik_Bh1SqsdwkK4GvAVSSQWKcs" width="10" height="10" style="margin-left:0px;margin-top:0px"></span></span><span style="background-color:transparent;font-size:8pt;font-family:Roboto,sans-serif;color:rgb(0,0,0);vertical-align:baseline"> </span><span style="background-color:transparent;font-size:8pt;font-family:Roboto,sans-serif;color:rgb(102,102,102);vertical-align:baseline"><a href="http://www.remainplaces.com/" style="color:rgb(17,85,204)" target="_blank">www.remainplaces.com</a></span><div><font color="#666666" face="Roboto, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:10.6667px"><img width="200" height="83" src="https://ci3.googleusercontent.com/mail-sig/AIorK4zWPqDAkkoFabcp8L3bBrGWAv5ZhtdUORTnVjjmafMa9OsRCpkaEs56JJ46b_oMff7F-2zP6vEPQEw6"><br></span></font><div><br></div></div></div></div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote gmail_quote_container"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">On Tue, May 27, 2025 at 10:15\u202fAM Erin Schaeffer via MassPlanners <<a href="mailto:massplanners@masscptc.org">massplanners@masscptc.org</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex"><div dir="ltr"><div>Hello Planners, </div><div><br></div><div>Has anyone seen a really great accessibility guide for retail and restaurants? </div><div><br></div><div>Our retailers and restaurants are allowed to utilize public sidewalks for vending, outdoor dining etc. While we have the regulations and associated graphics, I am looking for a comprehensive graphical guide that talks about the regulations, case studies with real graphics, and a list of vendors and/or furniture that meets requirements.
