<div dir="auto"><div dir="auto">Sending my slimmed down message on Linkage Fees, as I'm not sure it went through.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">This is as of December 2024.</div><div class="gmail_quote gmail_quote_container" dir="auto"><div dir="auto"><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">The Cape Cod Commission was granted the ability to allow Cape municipalities to create an Impact Fee system. Barnstable created one in the early 1990's with the idea of funding the development of affordable housing.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Barnstable's proposed system went went through all he County level approvals. However, the system was never implemented because either Superior or Land Court struck it down. Since then, no Cape Town has elected to try again.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">The only other Towns that have successfully enacted an Impact Fee system are Medford and Somerville.
