The MassDEP Boston NPDES and Residuals group is looking for an intern to assist in reviewing Per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) data. This data is submitted by wastewater treatment facilities and facilities with an Approval of Suitability for land application
of residuals. The intern will work alongside other DEP staff reviewing submitted PFAS data and attend weekly team meetings. The intern will learn about PFAS sampling methods and testing requirements for wastewater and sludge. As data is submitted to MassDEP,
the intern will review incoming data to either accept the submittal, reject the submittal, and/or follow up with questions about the submittal based upon the quality assurance procedures of the Program The intern will also participate in compiling annual
report data for facilities with an Approval of Suitability for land application of residuals. </div>
