Phil was an innovator, an educator, a mentor, a leader and a dedicated volunteer in Newton, his long-time home city. He taught at MIT DUSP, had his own planning consulting firm for decades and provided planning services all around Massachusetts, in other states, and internationally.<o:p></o:p></p><div><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal>Many of us learned so much from Phil in his talks at conferences, in his classroom, in meetings, and in his chats with everyone about planning issues and topics.
