So the fine details here are that the subdivision was approved because of planning board inaction. So the planning board did not therefore put a sunset clause on this, or an expiration date. I think it’s still valid, and most of you have confirmed my thinking.<br>

<div dir="ltr">For some reason I thought there was a “sunset” provision in MGL 41, but I suspect that the local subdivision policies and regulations are where one would find that.</div>

<div dir="ltr">I know that in the past several towns that I work for, there is always been a three-year limit, within which time the roads had to be constructed, utilities, installed, and all inspections done, otherwise the subdivision  would be deemed invalid.
 Remind.</div>
