In Connecticut as of October 1, 2022 (I believe), this is now a Building Code requirement for all new commercial and industrial development. I recently saw an application that had no EV charging station get approved in September, came back in November to modify
the application significantly, and is now required to show an EV charging station to gain Planning and Zoning approval. No changes were made to Zoning Regs, it's just known that the Building Code will require it so the applicant showed it on his site plan.<br>

such as having conduits in place and a plan for more....similar to what we do with overflow parking areas, planned for and set aside now, but not developed until the need arises. No need to run the wires and place the charging outlets now; just have the conduits
in place with messengers in them to pull wires later. Maybe some of you are already asking for that?<o:p></o:p></span></p>
