<p class="MsoNormal">The Town of Barnstable is seeking qualified candidates for a Community & Economic Development Planner in the Planning & Development Department. This position will administer the Town’s economic development programs, as well as contribute
to long-range and village planning initiatives, and the Town’s Regulatory Planning program and development reviews.

<p class="MsoNormal">The Town of Barnstable, Massachusetts is a dynamic coastal community with a year-round population of 45,000 and a seasonal peak population of 150,000. Barnstable is a historic municipality comprised of seven distinct villages, including
Hyannis, the economic, transportation, and government hub of Cape Cod. It features 170 miles of coastline and 163 freshwater ponds.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">We are seeking a creative, team-oriented, and experienced professional capable of independently managing complex projects, along with partnership-building abilities. Successful candidates will have experience in planning or a related field,
strong public presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in urban or regional planning, public administration, or a related field; and five years of progressively responsible experience in at least
one of the following areas: physical planning, comprehensive planning, environmental planning, or community and economic development. A Master’s degree in one of the above planning fields may be substituted for one (1) years of experience.
