You're welcome, Kate!

To all MassPlanners - I have an update since my last email. I have since learned that the existing Middleborough/Lakeville station (125 Commercial Dr, Lakeville, MA) will remain open as it will be served by the seasonal Cape Flyer service. This station is 99% located in Lakeville and 1% located in Middleborough (some parking spaces and part of the outbound platform located in Middleborough).

FYI - the new Middleborough Station that will be served by South Coast Rail is located at 52 West Grove St, Middleborough, MA

Best,
Jonathan

My team and I have compiled the list of all MBTA commuter rail stations that have a physical presence/location in two municipalities. All other commuter stations on the system

Northside Service (To/From North Station)

Commuter Rail Line

Station Name

Does it fall in Two Municipalities?

If yes, which Municipalities?

Fitchburg

Porter

Yes

Cambridge/Somerville

Newburyport/Rockport

Hamilton/Wenham

Yes

Hamilton/Wenham

Newburyport/Rockport

Newburyport

Yes

Newbury/Newburyport

Southside Service (To/FromSouth Station)

Commuter Rail Line

Station Name

Does it fall in Two Municipalities?

If yes, which Municipalities?

Greenbush

Weymouth Landing/East Braintree

Yes

Weymouth; Braintree

Middleborough/Lakeville

Holbrook/Randolph

Yes

Holbrook; Randolph

Providence/Stoughton

Route 128

Yes

Westwood; Dedham

I'll also note that the existing Middleborough/Lakeville Station is located in two communities, however this station will be closing once the new Middleborough Station opens as part of the South Coast Rail service starting on March 24th. I did not include it in the list above for that purpose.

I hope this helps.

Best,

Jonathan

The Holbrook/Randolph station has two lots; the east lot is in Holbrook and the west lot is in Randolph.

I believe part of the parking lot at the Newburyport MBTA station is in Newbury.

Hello,

Besides Hamilton/Wenham, does anyone know of another commuter rail station that is physically in two towns?

Thank you,
