Planning Community:

EEA regrets that the land use planning grants are unannounced after a considerable wait, and the impact uncertainty has on applicants. However, recommendations have been made and await final approval. Given the passage of time we recognize that timing and funding amounts may require adjustment, which we will address when contracting with grantees.

Again, we regret the delay and will be in touch with applicants as soon as we can.

Best,

Kurt Gaertner, Asst. Secretary for Environmental Policy

Stephen, I am glad you posted this, am in the same boat in Truro. I managed to find another source of funding for part of the project, but still holding out hope. I don't have any insight or info, sorry.

Subject: [Massplanners] EOEEA technical assistance grants

Fellow Planners:

My town applied for an EOEEA Technical Assistance grant last summer. The grants were supposed to be awarded last October, yet they still haven’t announced to awards. I’ve contacted them several times to ask when the grants will be awarded and have been told “soon” several times. I’m at the point where I’ll have to begin my project with or without EOEEA assistance.

Does anyone know what’s going on with this grant program?

Thanks

Stephen Wallace
