Dear Planners,
The City of Woburn currently has two exciting projects out to bid, and we encourage qualified consultants to submit proposals.
1. Downtown Area Plan - Woburn is seeking proposals from consultants to assist in implementing funding awarded through the Community One Stop for Growth grant. This project aims to streamline zoning regulations and promote mixed-use development in downtown Woburn, fostering economic growth and community vibrancy. The selected consultant will develop a comprehensive area plan that integrates planned traffic improvements scheduled for FY 2029, working closely with city officials, stakeholders, and residents. https://woburnma.gov/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/RFP-25-10-Downtown-Woburn-1.pdf
2. Housing Production Plan Update - Woburn is also seeking proposals for an update to its Housing Production Plan. The city's last HPP was approved in 2016 and expired in 2021. While Woburn continues to exceed the state's 10% affordable housing threshold, the HPP remains a valuable strategic planning tool. The updated plan will include a comprehensive housing needs assessment, revised goals, and implementation strategies that align with state regulations and local priorities. https://woburnma.gov/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/RFP-25-11-Woburn-Housing-Plan.pdf
These projects present unique opportunities to help shape Woburn's future. If you or your network may be interested, please share widely! For more details, including submission deadlines and requirements, please reach out!
Best,
Casey
