[Massplanners] 100 Years of Zoning in Cambridge

Congratulations to Cambridge on a century of zoning!  This year is also the centenary (of the print publication) for the Standard State Zoning Enabling Act at the federal level, a critical milestone in the evolution of planning practice.  We can moreover look forward to similarly reflecting on Euclid v. Ambler Realty in two years and the Standard City Planning Enabling Act in another year or two after that.  Regardless of their complicated long-term legacies, those innovations in regulating land use represented a major expansion of the planner's toolkit.
