TOWN PLANNER
The Town of Sandwich, MA is seeking a full-time Town Planner who will oversee an extensive program of current and comprehensive planning and economic development initiatives while working closely and cooperatively with other Town departments and elected and appointed officials.  This department head position reports to the Director of Community Development, has an in-person work schedule of M-F with at least one night meeting per week on average.  The successful candidate must have thorough knowledge of planning, zoning, historic preservation and economic development principles and techniques.  Bachelor's degree in regional/urban planning or related field with Master's degree preferred; a minimum five years current and progressively responsible experience in planning and zoning required with supervisory experience preferred; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.  Position requires strong written, oral communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with a wide array of stakeholder groups is essential.  Salary range is $85,000 - $95,000 commensurate with experience.
