Hi Everyone - Writing to encourage you to take advantage of the MDI program in the Community -One Stop.

The consultant technical assistance is $25,000- it is a great tool to address a very specific issue you are working on in your district. MDI consultants do a lot!

Ideas:

  * Public Infrastructure placement (benches, trash barrels, etc)
  * Placemaking- public art placement, potential events for economic impact
  * Pedestrian Orientation Study- is the district pedestrian friendly? Wayfinding
  * Wayfinding & Branding in the District
  * Have an underutilized parcel? Feasibility Study
  * Housing Study for increasing housing on upper floors
  *   Design Guidelines
  *   Parking Management Plan

These are just a few ideas. But I'm sure you can list many more! Call & we can discuss ideas. Look at the MDI program page for past reports.

 Some Specifics:

  * One MDI project per municipality
  * Application in the One-stop has to come through the municipality, but can be implemented by a designated organization (BID), final applications due 6/5/24
  *   No match
  * MDI funds are planning/study funds and cannot be used for implementation.

The date for submitting an Expression of Interest has passed. That does not preclude you from submitting a project in a final Community One-Stop Application, due June 5, 2024.
