Good afternoon fellow planners,

An exciting time in the Town of Concord for a planner! Last night, Town Meeting passed the new MBTA Communities Multi-family Zoning, and the Planning Board will be putting together new MBTA Communities Site Plan Rules & Regulations, the Town is gearing up for exciting conversations about the closure of the MCI-Concord Prison and planning for its future and, the reuse of a superfund site at 2229 Main Street! What could be more fun. Plus, the Town has increased the salary range for this new position.

The historic Town of Concord is seeking qualified professional planner candidates, who are passionate about providing progressive technical and administrative support to the Planning Board and the Zoning Board of Appeals on Site Plan and Special Permit development applications, serving this historic and engaged community and being part of a committed municipal organization. The Senior Planner will work with the Town Planner, other Town staff, and various boards & committees on a tremendous variety of planning and zoning related items. Concord employee efforts are appreciated by the citizens of the Town who regularly provide positive feedback in a Town Government Survey about their satisfaction with municipal services and the utilization of their tax dollars.
