Hi Richard,

A shared streets committee isn't needed. As a Complete Streets committee
member, I'd say you're in a good position to help advise your town on
potential projects. The Shared Streets and Spaces website

say "applicants are also required to demonstrate any public engagement that
has been conducted related to the proposed project," so reviewing or
suggesting potential projects in your Complete Streets Committee meetings
sounds like a good idea. That being said, there was an application deadline
10/31/23 and it said award notification 2-3 months, so I'd expect to see an
announcement for Fiscal Year 2024 grants at some point soon. No indication
on the next round, but perhaps the fall again.
