The Town of Wellesley is seeking to hire a full-time Senior Planner.  Reporting to the Planning Director, the Senior Planner supports the Director in a variety of complex technical and professional work in the current and long range planning of the Town, carrying out comprehensive planning, zoning analysis, site plan review, design review, and related matters, providing staff support for the Planning Board and associated boards; working with consultants; the development and implementation of land use policies and regulations; and serving as Department Head in the Director's absence.



The work requires the ability to interact effectively with the general public, strong written and oral communication skills, and frequent attendance at evening meetings.

This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Planning or a related field, and a minimum of three years of planning experience; working knowledge of the principles and practices in municipal planning; knowledge of Massachusetts municipal planning, zoning, and subdivision laws and regulations and of Massachusetts procurement law and contract management. The anticipated salary range is $74,600 to $91,000 DOQ.
