[Massplanners] Online Auto Sales

All,

We haven't had one yet but in Truro, but here, that would probably be considered a home occupation. Since, it's not one that is currently specified in the bylaw definition of home occupation, it would go to the ZBA for a special permit and would include conditions such as no cars parked.

Subject: [Massplanners] Online Auto Sales

Question from our Building and licensing departments about permitting online auto sales out of a house.
We usually require that the applicant's place of business is zoned properly but if it's an online business would we just approve the license as being an online only and that physically no used cars can be parked at the residence?

How are other towns permitting the use and issuing the license?

Thanks,
Sarah
