Hi all:

I am excited to announce that I will be moving into a new role at the AGO. We will be posting for a new Director of the Municipal Law Unit (who will be only the third Director since the Unit's inception after Bob Ritchie and me) in the coming days. AAGs Kelli Gunagan and Nicole Caprioli will continue doing their great work in the MLU and serve as a valuable resource for you.

In my new position (Senior Counsel for Housing and Municipal Law) I will be focusing on the intersection of housing, zoning, and municipal law issues, including the Section 3A zoning requirements and the new requirements in the Affordable Homes Act. I will continue to be involved in MLU"s review of by-laws related to these requirements and will continue to assist cities/towns with compliance and questions. I will also be assisting the work of the Office's new Housing Affordability Unit, and all other Divisions with any projects or cases involving municipalities. I welcome your input on anything else I can do to assist cities and towns through this new role in the AGO.

My contact information and base in Worcester will remain the same, and I look forward to working with you all in this new role!

Best,

Margaret
