[Massplanners] Tree Inventories, Anyone?

Last year, Longmeadow applied for and received a grant from DCR's Urban and
Community Forestry to update our incomplete street tree inventory, conduct
a hazard tree assessment, and develop a 5 year prioritized maintenance
plan. We were interested in updating the inventory for the whole town,
which includes nearly 10,000 street trees growing over 98 miles of
municipally-controlled rights-of-way.

We used Davey Resource Group, and the project took about 3-4 months and
cost about $44,000. We are happy enough with their work to hire them again
this year for an inventory expansion to include our school and park trees.
