[Massplanners] Job Posting: Town of Bourne - Assistant Town Planner

Hi Planners,

The Town of Bourne is seeking an Assistant Town Planner to provide technical assistance to the Town Planner in carrying out a wide range of duties and responsibilities for the Planning Department in the areas of: zoning & preexisting non-conformities, subdivision control, site plan review, GIS, and affordable housing. Attendance at numerous public meetings is expected, including: Planning Board, Design Review Committee, Affordable Housing Trust, and the Historical Commission.

The Assistant Planner supports town-wide planning initiatives and goals pertaining to the Local Comprehensive Plan and duties will include drafting bylaw revisions, transportation planning, supporting the creation of affordable housing, comprehensive wastewater planning, and climate resiliency planning.

A Bachelor's degree in municipal or regional planning or closely related field or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with drafting state Housing Production Plans and Open Space and Recreation Plans is preferred.

Full-time, Union position with generous benefits. Starting annual salary range of $58,195 to $60,844.
