Beverly is seeking to hire an Economic Development Planner. The ideal
candidate is passionate about understanding the local workforce and helping
Beverly’s diverse business community open, expand, and thrive. Working
under the direct supervision of the Director of Planning & Development
(me!), the Economic Development Planner I serves as the City's business
liaison, provides technical support for economic development initiatives,
manages grant and City programs, and provides planning staff support for
local boards which may include the Economic and Community Development
Council and Harbor Management Authority. Interest or experience in arts and
culture planning, downtowns, and waterfront activities are beneficial.
