The City of Salem seeks an Open Space Master Plan Coordinator to review and update an existing recreation master plan to support and implement the City's maintenance and expansion of its parks, recreation facilities, and open spaces.  The position will conduct a comprehensive public outreach plan that includes but is not limited to: working group meetings, public forums, focus groups/interviews with stakeholders, online surveys, and online platform maintenance.  The public outreach plan will assist in understanding the community's assessment of the City's open space and park resources and future resource protection.  The OSMPC will address the public health/land use connection and ways the City can provide opportunities to people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds by using the information obtained to draft/document/update and generate a new City Open Space & Recreation and Master Plan (OSRMP).  Bachelor's degree required; Master's Degree preferred in planning or related field. Familiarity with Massachusetts OSRP requirements or the equivalent.
