The Town of Middleborough has begun its search for a new Director of OECD, as my departure from municipal service approaches:

The Town of Middleborough is accepting letters of interest and resumes for the position of Director of Economic and Community Development. The position is responsible for directing economic and community development initiatives, commercial and industrial development and promoting downtown revitalization. The Director also oversees housing, community and economic development programs, grant writing and works closely with the business community, community organizations as well as state and federal agencies. Position requires a minimum of three to five years of working in a community and economic development capacity, a proven record in securing grants and administering successful economic and community development programs. The Town-a mix of urban and rural landscape- has been actively engaged in new growth and development, including around its historic downtown business corridor and in housing development.  The cannabis manufacturing industry has also contributed significantly to commercial growth.  The Town's direct access off major interstate roadways and to MBTA rail stations, Cape Cod and Plymouth and a massive amount of affordable acreage (72 square miles) is igniting  interest and investment especially as prices and lack of available land hampers growth further north.

This is a full-time position, and is not remote.
