Transportation Planning Division Days of Service in Boston!
The American Planning Association Transportation Planning Division (TPD) will be hosting two events as part of the Days of Service in Boston!

Part I: Nubian Square Walking Tour
Friday, November 19, 2021, from 1:30-3:30pm

Led by local educator and founder of Live Like a Local Tours Boston<https://www.livelikealocaltoursboston.com/>, Collin Knight, the walking tour will expose Planners to the history and culture of Nubian Square and raise awareness of the neighborhood's assets and challenges.

Representatives from the Boston Planning and Development Agency and the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority will also discuss planning initiatives in Roxbury that include PLAN: Nubian Square, the income-tiered Good2GO electric car-sharing program, and the Columbus Avenue center-running bus lane  project.

Walking tour participants are also invited to attend an informal networking event taking place directly following the walking tour at Slade's Bar and Grill, 958 Tremont St, Boston, MA 02120.

Part II: Haley House McKinley Collaborative Garden Project
Thursday, December 2, 2021, from 1:30-3:30pm

Volunteers are needed to help paint, clean up, and winterize the garden area as part of the Haley House McKinley Collaborative Garden Project<https://haleyhouse.org/what-we-do/urban-agriculture/mckinley-garden/>. Haley House staff have also identified a series of motivating and inspiring quotes and need volunteers to help paint the quotes along the walking paths to the garden.

All events are limited to the first 25 registrants. There is no registration fee for these events.
