Thomas, from your writings in the listserv, I think you and Jed will get along just LOVELY lol. Congrats to Jed and Tom! Jed's been a terrific resource to us in Marion especially in transportation, and I know he will be to Falmouth too.

On behalf of the Town of Falmouth I am pleased to announce that Jed Cornock, AICP has joined our staff as the Falmouth Assistant Town Planner. I first met Jed when has was at OCPC ca 2006ish when I worked for another Town in the region. In spite of Jed's familiarity with me he applied and accepted the position and we are happy to have him. Maybe not all of those old expressions about familiarity are true. Jed comes to us from SRPEDD where he wore many hats principally as the Principal Comprehensive Planner. As you can see in the email below Jed made it through his first week including crossing the Canal on a warm Friday and told me he would see me on Monday. All good.
As I written before, adding a new person to the Team always make me a bit nervous about how well their abilities match up with their curriculum vitae as well as their chemistry, especially in a shared workspace. Latin and Chemistry are two things that I have no business in addressing, ask any of a myriad of frustrated former teachers, but still I persist. To date I have fortunate on both counts.
This has been a time unprecedented to be alive and trying to do the best for our communities and our families. I am blessed to have been so fortunate through such a difficult time that has ravaged so many. I thank Jed and my entire staff for their continued efforts and their willingness to work with me and their trust that I don't have any reservations about working with people much smarter that me.
Congrats and Welcome to Jed, I am very pleased that we are so fortunate to have this opportunity to work together.
TBott
PS It is not typos nor a lack of vocabulary that my brief message above includes the word "fortunate" three times.

At the end of Jed‘s first week stop by the break room for a slice of warm corn bread. I know what you’re thinking, what could be better on another hot muggy day than something warm? Well there is a honey butter with the cornbread. So help yourself to our very modest celebration of Carver residents new and old as Jed finishes his first week and Rod Palmer finishes his last. We can give Will Sinclair a little love too as that Carver “middle child“.
Bon appétit and bon weekend,
TBott, Town Planner Falmouth MASS (and Carver’s next door neighbor)
